Business people use a telephone answering service for a huge variety of reasons. Some tend to redirect their calls to us when they go into meetings or out to see clients - others use us to cover their calls while they're away holidaying in other parts of the world. But whether you've redirected your calls for just half an hour or for three weeks straight - it remains important to consider how you're going to pick up your messages!

There are three main ways that we at Your Reception Desk get messages to our clients - though of course we're always open to new suggestions. (Who knows, perhaps by next year we'll be tweeting messages to our clients....)

Email

Perhaps the most popular option with our clients - email is certainly an easy way for clients to keep up to date with their calls. When we receive a call, we take contact details of the caller along with a brief message - and then email this to the client in question straight away. This means that the client gets the necessary information straight to their desktop - and can follow up the call at a time that is convenient to them..

Text Message

Many clients prefer to have their messages sent via text message - which means they can pick them up at any time. Once we've taken a call and the related message, we simply text the details direct to the client's mobile phone. This means that not only will the client be able to act on the call straight away, they also have the number already on their phone.

Call Patching

This final option is available to clients who use our full VA service. It comes into play when a caller asks to talk to a client urgently, or when we can simply hear the urgency in their voice. Instead of taking a message and passing it on the the client via email or text message - we can patch the call through to the client instantly. We speak to the client first to ask if they would like to speak to the caller, then we put them through. This can be a great option with urgent or important calls.

Does this all sound like a good idea to you? Wondering why you're not using our services already?! Give us a call if you'd like to discuss how this service could work for you.
